BRUSSELS, 6 November 2025 — Solvay Lifelong Learning is proud to announce a significant global recognition for its Executive MBA programme. In the newly released Corporate Knights’ 2025/2026 'Better World' MBA Ranking, the Solvay EMBA has been ranked #30 globally and #1 in Belgium, for the 3rd year in a row.
This prestigious ranking evaluates 179 global MBA programmes, identifying the top programmes worldwide for instilling "holistic purpose" in future leaders. Schools were evaluated on the proportion of core courses integrating sustainable development themes — including biodiversity, Indigenous partnership models, climate finance, supply chain ethics, and equity. Alumni outcomes in impact organisations accounted for 10% of the final score.
The Corporate Knights ranking is distinctive in that it measures how well programmes integrate skills and values to build a more inclusive economy that benefits society and is in harmony with the natural world.
We are exceptionally proud of this achievement," says Bruno Wattenbergh, Academic Director of the EMBA:
"This ranking is particularly meaningful as it recognises our core mission, beyond our impact on our alumni’s careers. For decades, Solvay has instilled that business leadership is far more than profit, and must have an anchored purpose and positive societal impact. This #1 ranking in Belgium confirms that our curriculum is successfully equipping leaders with the ethical and practical frameworks they need to navigate the complex challenges of today."
This recognition is a testament to the collective work of the Solvay Lifelong Learning teams, the Solvay Faculty, and the ULB, who have embedded sustainability, ethics, and responsible leadership into the very DNA of the programme.
It also reflects the character of our students and the global impact of our 37,000+ alumni, who champion these values in their organisations every day. As the business world continues to reckon with climate change and social inequality, Solvay remains committed to being at the forefront of purpose-driven education.
