The Advanced Master in Innovation and Strategic Management (AMISM) is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals who are ready to take the next bold step, drive organisational change, lead innovation, and handle corporate strategy with insight and agility.
Over the course of 10 full-time months, participants immerse themselves in a learning experience that bridges strategy, innovation, and personal development, preparing them to enter today’s business world while shaping tomorrow’s. Here are the ten best features during their time with us:
1. Learn by doing
Theory only gets you so far. AMISM brings business concepts to life through simulations, consulting missions, and hands-on fieldwork. From day one, you’ll tackle complex challenges that mirror real-world business scenarios — equipping you with practical skills that translate directly into the workplace.
2. Learn from those who lead
Courses are led by a diverse mix of practitioners and scholars, from strategy consultants to innovation researchers, all of whom bring fresh, real-world relevance to the classroom. The result: teaching that’s grounded in today’s business realities and tomorrow’s big questions.
3. Join a close-knit international cohort
Each cohort brings together a select group of ambitious individuals from around the world. This diversity isn’t just geographical: it spans academic backgrounds, professional aspirations, and ways of thinking. It’s the kind of environment where debate, collaboration, and unexpected insights thrive, and an accurate simulation of how to cooperate across international teams within global players.
4. Shape your own path with tailored minors
AMISM allows you to shape your journey through two targeted minors:
- The Entrepreneurship minor includes a venture incubator where you can explore and test your own startup ideas.
- The Strategy minor offers a consulting project with a real company, giving you concrete experience in strategic thinking and execution.
Both paths offer immersive, hands-on learning to deepen your expertise in your chosen field.
5. Think big, think long term
The programme helps you zoom out to see the bigger picture. You’ll explore the systemic trends — from sustainability to AI — reshaping industries, societies, and the very nature of business. This perspective sharpens your strategic thinking and helps you become a more responsible and impactful leader.
6. Get support that’s truly personal
Your ambitions are unique, and your career support should be too. AMISM includes dedicated coaching designed to help you clarify your goals, understand your strengths, locate and prepare for interviews, and develop a clear action plan for life after graduation.
7. Launch your career fast
AMISM alumni don’t wait long to make an impact. Over 90% of our graduates secure a job within three months or less of completing the programme, with many landing at top consultancies, innovation hubs, or their own startups. It’s a launchpad for ambitious careers across sectors.
8. Connect to a global network
With over 35,000 Solvay alumni active worldwide, you will be joining a powerful professional community. Whether you seek mentorship, partnerships, or your next big opportunity, this network is here to support your journey and provide lifelong learning opportunities beyond graduation, through the vibrant work of Solvay Schools Alumni.
9. Across industries and borders
From finance and marketing to operations and innovation, students participate in study trips across Europe to gain firsthand insights into leading ecosystems. Guest speakers also introduce cutting-edge practices from their respective fields. Taking a step further, learning extends beyond the classroom. Regular events, panels, and guest lectures allow you to engage with prominent figures in the innovation landscape, broadening both your knowledge and your network at each step.
10. Worldwide ranked
Studying at Solvay builds knowledge and earns recognition. The programme is ranked among the top 100 globally in the QS Business Masters Rankings, a testament to its academic quality, real-world relevance, and career impact. Employers and industry professionals value the Solvay name, making AMISM a strong signal of your readiness to lead.
