Innovation has transitioned from a mere buzzword to an essential skill for business survival. It impacts everything from product design and process optimisation to corporate reinvention and daring entrepreneurial efforts. The ability to innovate is significantly influencing the resilience of today’s business organisations.
To meet this growing demand, the Solvay Executive MBA has launched a certified specialisation in Innovation & Entrepreneurship – a dedicated track for those who want to lead transformation from within or bring new ventures to life.
The track combines the insights of our top faculty and alumni with the fast-evolving practices of start-ups and innovation labs. Participants explore modern tools for business model design, digital transformation, and agile leadership, all contextualised and framed within real-world challenges. It was born out of direct requests from CHROs, CEOs, and entrepreneurs in our community who recognised that innovation leadership is now essential, regardless of function or sector of activity.
The Innovation & Entrepreneurship specialisation provides a structured learning pathway through four key courses. It starts with New Product Development, which emphasises effective design, prototyping, and launching of innovations. Innovation Policy investigates the wider ecosystem, focusing on the influence of public and private frameworks in promoting innovation. Business Model Innovation teaches participants to rethink value creation and adjust models to meet changing market demands. Lastly, Entrepreneurial Finance & Corporate Venturing offers practical insights into funding, scaling, and launching new ventures, whether they are part of a start-up or a large organisation. This track is designed to give participants both the mindset and the tools to drive innovation from conception to execution.
Whether you are a corporate intrapreneur eager to create change or an entrepreneur preparing to launch your next venture, this specialisation offers practical, applicable value. It’s an opportunity to work on your innovation journey while building a toolkit to lead others through theirs.
Graduates will receive their EMBA along with a university-certified specialisation in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, equipped to tackle today’s critical business challenges with innovative ideas.
The specialisation tracks can also be pursued independently as stand-alone programmes, offering participants the opportunity to earn a University Certificate in their chosen area of expertise: University Certificate in Entrepreneurship & Innovation (UC-EI) or University Certificate in Corporate Finance (UC-CF).
