A Philosophy Boost For The Leaders of Tomorrow
Philosophy is the practice of going back to fundamental questions, relating to business, society or the individual. Taking a philosophical approach brings a new perspective on what seemed to go for granted and allows to frame problems in a broader perspective. In that sense, it’s a crucial instrument in the strategic toolbox.
Moreover, philosophy is an opportunity to strengthen and widen leaders’ capabilities to react to what their team members are expecting. It is also an opportunity to strengthen leaders’ inner dialogue or resilience. In that sense, philosophy is an essential ingredient of an authentic and deep leadership.
Like music or climbing, philosophy can be practiced alone. Yet for, some fundamentals should be learnt in order to make the best out of the time invested in this activity. And these fundamentals are best learnt in a group, making it an enjoyable peer-to-peer learning experience.
Unprecedented changes have been taking place over the last years. The Covid-19 health crisis has accelerated the transformation and digitalisation of many sectors, while putting the survival of some industries and business models at risk. Governments’ deficits are exploding, social tensions are on the rise. Youth movements are urging for structural changes to save the planet. Meanwhile, a new generation is accessing leadership positions, with different aspirations and priorities than their predecessors.
The individuals who will lead organisations through the next decade will face exciting, yet complex challenges. They need to be equipped with the right tools to go through the stormy weather ahead.
The aim of this programme is to help next-generation leaders succeed, through a philosophy boost.
